Mission:
Grow a digital media arts technology "field" with information gathering and extended day and after school training partnerships joining teen youth, educators, community organizers, policy makers, relevant industry and digital media arts professionals, This will generate a strategic force to amplify the voices of youth, assemble teachers and mentors to elevate this educational domain , launch comprehensive curriculum, education system and community development projects, achieve material and aesthetic breakthroughs, and build social capital through a vast new decentralized economic workforce in California.

Philosophy:
Youth of the 21st Century have an opportunity and obligation to use the digital and media arts to elevate all our lives as they renew and strengthen society through universal interconnectivity and creativity. Digital literacy is essential for youth to effectively respond to challenges related to global sustainable prosperity, justice, peace, meaningfulness, health, and security. The unparalleled power of radio, TV, movies, broadcast journalism, and the world wide web, demand the need to instill universal, fundamental digital literacy and artistry that strengthens democratic institutions as media fosters breakthrough communication and understanding among diverse cultures and billions of people across our planet.

Goals:
To establish Digital Arts Regional Studio Partnerships throughout California in which:

Youth and their families will acquire the skills, knowledge, literacy, media tools and outlets to universally use digital technology and media arts to improve their own lives, serve and elevate society.

Schools will provide tool access and state of the art training to ensure universal mastery and across-the-board workforce employability for social, economic, and community development, as well as for increased civic engagement by youth.

Community non profit organizations will support and expand their core missions to meet the diversity of human needs and dynamic interconnectivity by including the skills and knowledge of a new generation of youth with mastery in digital arts technology.

Industry will ensure its continued economic success through statewide strategic and coordinated intellectual and financial efforts that build workforce capacity in the digital and media arts through new curriculum, educational systems and public-private partnerships.

Government will provide the policies and public support that respond to the needs of a digital society, including increased citizen access to digital media tools and training, as well as public investments to accomplish universal digital literacy among our youth.
